Principle of operation:
Due to the different coefficients of thermal expansion, the bimetallic sheet has a different degree of thermal expansion and contraction on both sides when the temperature changes, so its bending degree changes at different temperatures.
When the temperature is higher than the expansion temperature of the bimetal, the bimetal contact position is deformed and the circuit is broken.
When the temperature is lower than the expansion temperature of the bimetal, the bimetal contact position is restored to its original shape and the circuit is closed.
Thermostats are normally open and normally closed
Normally closed: When the temperature is set, the thermostat is normally closed, when the actual ambient temperature drops to or near the set temperature, it will start the load heating, usually the thermostat is normally closed, when the actual ambient temperature is greater than the set temperature, the load is always in the stop running state.
Normally open: When the temperature is set, the thermostat is in a normally open state, when the actual ambient temperature is greater than will be close to the set temperature, it will start the load cooling, usually the thermostats are in a normally open state, when the actual ambient temperature is lower than the set temperature, the load is always in a stop running state
